Cording

Ho guys ive not posted in a while, i am just looking for a bit of advice, i was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago, i had a lumpectomy followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I have noticed over the past week a pain on my left side just at my ribs it feels like a long vein, I've heard of cording but given it was like 2 years ago would it just be showing just now? I have an appointment with ny GP but he's not available to next Monday so just wondered if any of you ladies had experienced anything similar. Thanks

Could you contact your breast clinic or breast care nurse to ask about this rather than having to wait that long for a gp appt ?

Cording two years after surgery does seen quite a long time, as usually cording occurs within a few weeks to a couple of months; maybe this could be scar tissue with adhesions.

You could also try posting this question into the main breast group as well to get more replies .

i had my mastectomy 24 Oct and recently developed cording. My physio says it will sort itself if I do the excersise but I wondered if massage helped and whether to apply heat or cold? It’s really painful so wanting to help it along in any way I can
