Good evening all,

I have just finished my final chemotherapy yippee.  My eyelashes and eyebrows have all but gone which I’m finding really hard. Just wondering how long will it be until they start to grow back.
I’m getting a dab hand at the eyebrow pencil and have used fake eyelashes a few times, but at the moment my eyelids seem a bit puffy.
Thank you xxd

  • Hi buddy401

congratulations on getting to the end of your chemotherapy

pre children I was a beauty therapist. My experience/advice on this is individual. But like some people’s nails and hair grow thicker/ faster than others- same applies with lashes and brows.

I know that’s a vague answer but I’m keeping it all crossed for you. I’m looking forward to seeing a pic of you in a few months with beautiful lashes!

Whilst im certain this is important to you, please be kind to yourself and remember how much you have been through and how beautiful you are.

Im at the beginning of my journey- congrats again xx

Thank you for your lovely message, feel like I’m just getting impatient.
I’m due for my mastectomy and reconstruction in 2 weeks, so I’m sure I soon will have other things on my mind.

sending you love for the beginning of your journey xxx

I finished chemo end of April, mine started growing bk about 2 months after chemo. Both brows and lashes are bk now just not as thick as before and eyelashes at first seemed all over the place, growing in different directions lol.

  • Hi buddy401, your eyelashes will be back in no time!  Mine were the last thing to fall out but it wasn’t long after finishing chemo that they started to grow back. They’ll be really short at first but pile on the mascara and I used a liquid eyeliner on the top lid so it looked pretty similar to a lash line. I don’t think anyone really noticed the difference. You’ll have lovely lashes by Christmas hopefully xx

  • Yes like said it won’t be long. I used an eyeliner on top which I got from the Look Good, Feel Better it really helps, I was pretty hopeless with a brow pen, but I found the Tattoo brow was really good after a bit of practise.
