Tomorrow is hospital until Wednesday, dye injection tomorrow then Mastectomy Tuesday morning.. i’m more scared of the injection... should i expect anything? as i’m being positive.
Hi keep being positive, i had a mastectomy in April. The dye injection is nothing to worry about, i'm not going to say you can't feel it but it doesn't hurt. I had mine on the day of surgery. Are you in hospital tomorrow and then stopping in till Wednesday?
I will say that the mastectomy isn't as bad as you're thinking it going to be. Like the nurse told me, because they cut through your nerves you don't feel any pain and by the time the nerves start reconnecting you've healed. I was very surprised after i'd had mine in fact i had to look to check they had actually done it once i woke from the anesthetic.
I had a morphine pump when i woke up, as i had an immediate reconstruction using the muscle in my back, but i hardly used it and managed with ibuprofen and paracetamols.
One bit of advice i will give is to take cartons of juice with you, i took little cartons of apple juice and they were a god send, found them really refreshing.

I can’t remember getting the dye now as my mastectomy was this time last yr. It must have been the day before as I went to hospital for op at 7am so I wasn’t the same day. I spent 2 days in hospital. Take Care x
