Hi all
i just thought i would post some positivity - particularly for anyone new to this site as I found posts like this massively helped me when I was first diagnosed 12 months ago.
I have just had my mammogram almost a year to the day of diagnosis - results all good.
Life has generally gone back to normal - and the breast cancer thoughts do not fully consume my day. I charge around after my girls, argue with my husband, moan about work and housework, complain about how my weekly Tesco shop seems to increase in price every week etc etc. Yes I do still have anxiety at times, but On the whole life is pretty darn good.
I do still feel i had it slightly easier than some, but i still had to get through my own ‘battle’ and this post is purely aimed at hopefully helping those just starting.....who feel like the things they enjoyed are gone for good.
lots of love
Yes I completely agree.
I was diagnosed last October, had a mastectomy, then node clearance, 4 months of chemo, Radiotherapy and I’m on Anti Hormone tablets now, which can bring their own SE’s, but I too don’t think much about it now.
I’m still waiting to get an appointment for my next mammo etc but I will deal with it when I need too.
I have Lymphoedema and some joint pain, but I’m doing well. Oncologist said I’m in remission so fingers crossed.
Thinking about you all on this epic journey x x
