Hi all,
I'm still trying to understand this site, so many threads. I have had a lumpectomy and lymph node clearance followed by further tissue removal. All results came back to say the cancer had gone. CT scan showed no further spread. However, last Sunday I noticed another lump above the original tumour and thankfully I was seen on Monday and further biopsies. Results today confirmed cancer. They have rushed Me through and chemo will now start on Tuesday followed by a mastectomy, radiotherapy and hormonal treatment. They have told me my prognosis does not change as it is the same cancer and in the same area. Has anyone else had anything similar and got through it.
BB
Hiya sorry to hear your news, this group is really quiet. The main Breast cancer group gets more people visiting so maybe try reposting this question in there.
The only thing i can say i had similar to you was after my chemotherapy i had an MRI and i was told there was no cancer showing. I believed that meant it had all gone, went for a lumpectomy and was told i hadn't got clear margins. This is when i started to struggle, but there was no need as i am now cancer free.
Hi ,
I know this doesn’t help much, however I think the way I look at it is at least it’s been found, so much better than it going undetected.
Wishing you all the best and like I said on the other post, keep in touch x x
