    Hiya

Sorry i have only just seen this, before anything else i think you need a hug,

Can i welcome you  to the online community, none of us really want to be here but it is the best place to be under the circumstances as i think you have already seem, I've seen you've also posted in the breast cancer group.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer July 2018 i was 47, i am now cancer free. You're going to be scared, its not anything any of us think will happen to us. The best advice i was given was take it a step at a time. Don't look too far in front and keep positive. You can do this and you will with us all right beside you every step of the way.

The waiting and not knowing what happens next is the worse but once you know you're treatment plan and whats happening you will hopefully feel much better.

Keep coming and talking to us, ask questions, none are silly believe me i asked a few. Also remember that every one is different, so listen to peoples stories but just because someone has had certain side effects doesn't mean you will.

Big Hugs and take care xxx

  • Hi ,

I hope you have by now seen an oncologist and have either started treatment or have a plan set out.

I was diagnosed last October, scared beyond belief, the age old, I didn’t think it would happen to me springs to mind, incredible worried about how my 4 kids would deal with it/ cope. All common things. Waiting for test result had me climbing the walls!

I had a left side mastectomy in Oct, Node clearance in Nov. My tumour was Hormone receptive.

I had chemo January to April, then radiotherapy in June. I’m in remission and taking anti hormone tablets.

Let us know how you are getting on x
