Breast pain!

I see that you joined a couple of years ago but that this is your first post so I'm sorry that nobody has felt able to step forward and reply to you.

My cancer experience is completely different to yours so I don't have any experience to draw on to answer your question. However, I've noticed that you're also a member of the breast cancer group and I think if you post your question there you're more likely to get a response as it's a much busier group than this one. I'm also going to tag  and GRANNY59 into my reply to you as they look after the breast cancer groups so may have some knowledge of your problem.

If you don't get any replies though my best advice would be to speak to your CNS and she can either put your mind at rest or arrange for you to go in and be seen by your consultant.

i was diagnosed last September and had lumpectomy and radiotherapy. Radiotherapy finished early jan and over the last few weeks i have had similar pains - I actually wondered whether i had damaged my ribs.  I saw my oncologist Tuesday and he said it’s totally to be expected to get sharp, shooting and stabbing pains during the first couple of years. Of course if you are worried do book in to see someone as sometimes its just reassurance we need.

I had a friend who had BC a few years ago. Last week she told me she'd been having some pains i told her to ring the breast care nurse. She said she felt silly ringing in case it was nothing. She rung and it was nothing but at least she knows now instead of worrying about it.

My breast care nurse has told me she will be available for me for anything for the next 5 years.

Ring them and speak to them, please don't ignore it but also try not to worry about something you might not need to worry about xx
