Hi all
Ive been fortunate not to have been on the forum for a little while, almost 4 years clear! I say almost as I have received my recall letter today following my mammogram on Wednesday!
I’ve to go on Tuesday for a breast tomosynthesis (?) ultrasound & biopsy on the same breast as my cancer in 2015 & if I’m being brutally honest, am totally cacking myself!
I had WLE and 25 rads in 2015 for IDC grade 2 aged 45 & on tamoxifen for supposedly 10 years, followed by hysterectomy & ovary removal(different issue)!
I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this? My heads spinning at a rate of knots, although being a nurse I’m trying to be rational, I feel like getting drunk out of my head for the whole weekend
Thanks in advance for any replies

Hi
I have not had a recurrence but my recent mammogram found an early new tumour in the other breast.
They rang me to go in on the Monday following the mammogram on the Saturday so obviously something wasn't right!
It's so easy to say but try not to worry until you know.
Have you had any symptoms?
Hi Haysie
Thanks for your reply & I’m so sorry to hear they’ve found a new tumour in your other breast
I’ve had no symptoms at all and have a large area of scar tissue from surgery & rads in my left breast, which prevents me from feeling any lumps in that area, However that is where this new tumour is!
I am absolutely petrified of what lies ahead, am due to start a new job a week on Monday & feel that this bloody tumour is going to spoil everything again
My youngest lad starts his GCSEs this next week, so I’m trying to carry on as normal & he thinks my hay fever is bad at the moment
Hope all goes well for you xx
Hi
I had something similar, not the same but hopefully it will help you not worry so much.
I had a mammogram this time last year and was found to have breast cancer, before all my treatment started i was sent for the usual scans, MRI,PET and CT. To check it hadn't gone anywhere else. Luckily it hadn't but there was another mass showing in the boob they had found the original tumor in.
I was called back in and had an ultrasound and a biopsy done on the new mass they had found. Very scary thinking i had 2 tumors in the same boob.
When the results came back the mass wasn't cancer and was benign. So just because you have been called in for a ultra sound and a biopsy doesn't necessarily mean its cancer.
Hope this eases your worrying a little.
Good Luck and let us know how you get on xx
