My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa

    Hi xxx

Glad you`re going, for that price you can`t miss it can you!!!

Wet here too!! I`ve been to the gym after work, kids both out so quiet night here. Had a `ping` meal (will have to do the casserole thing!!) but do usually cook when they`re both in. Now chilling with a glass of wine, bit bored really!!!

Had sad news too, my best friend`s dad died this afternoon. He had the same cancer as Paul, he has been poorly for a long time, battled it for years. Just hope I can arrange time off work for the funeral. She has been there for me all the way so want to be there for her too xxx

    What`s everyone else doing?

Ah Thats so sad Helen , this dam cancer never stops . I bumped into one of Gordons friends at the hospital on wed , He was having tests whilst Gordon was alive and they all came back clear but now they have found cancer in his chest which has spread to his lungs and brain , i was shattered when he told me , as the last time i'd seen him was at Gordons funeral and he looked fine then but he didn't look good on wed . I know Gordon would have been gutted for him , but i think at least they'll be friends again in heaven , not that  i want anything to happen , i think the world of him too , i told him to keep fighting and i'll give him a ring in a week or two when he knows what treatment he's having . I think i might open a bottle too , i think i need it .
