Thank you SpiritintheSky,
I echo your words to everyone here.
I spent most of the afternoon with mum and as I was leaving I had a little cry. I very rarely cry in front of her.
She gave me a hug and said “Today is Wednesday. Tomorrow is Thursday. The day after is Friday. We can open presents. Or not. It doesn’t matter when, or if.”
I went for a long walk back home, crying all the way, and yet the lights were pretty and nice to look at.
Hugs to all x
