Hi everyone,

I lost my partner in January, and there hasn't been a day since then that I haven't thought about him. Last week, I lost the bracelet he gave me for Christmas last year. It was the last gift he gave me, and he even went out of his way to get it when he was very ill. It meant the world to me. I hardly ever took it off. I've retraced my steps and checked everywhere, but I've had no luck. I feel devastated that I've lost it, and now I feel guilty too. I don't know what to do. Unamused

    1. So sorry this has happened to you on top of everything else. I understand you feeling devastated. Please don't add guilt on to that. Of course you didn't intend to lose your cherished bracelet. I know it's not the same, but can you find another identical or similar bracelet? You could buy it for yourself and know it's what he chose for you, even if it's a replacement. Do you thinkmhe would approve of that? Love to you.  Xxx
  • That must have been very upsetting. I feel for you. Sending hugs, Kate. Xxx

  • Just over a month ago,my wedding ring fell off in M&S. I didn't realise till I got outside. I was panicking emptying my bag and rushing around the shop, with tears in my eyes. Luckily I found it and got it resized.  So I understand how you feel, but please don't feel guilty. It's these things that can really upset us.

  • Pray to saint Anthonyitll turn up. Try not to stress. It's somewhere safe. X

  • Oh dear!

Its horrible when something like that happens hopefully it will turn up- probably when you're not looking for it. I have a little loveheart pendant round my neck with some of hubby's ashes in it. It falls off every now and then and there have been times that I worry I have lost it outside and will be gone for good but luckily it has always been at home. I just look at it as his `little way` of winding me up from wherever he is as he was always a bit of a wind up merchant so when it happens I shout at his photo and tell him to stop it and it does- until the next timeSlight smile. He bought me a smartwatch just after he got his first cancer operation a little `thank you` from him to me for putting up with him through all his treatment but little did we know we would get hit with it a 2nd time and that that time the cancer wasn't leaving without him. Hope you find it. Best Wishes to you.

    Vicky xx

  • I had a safety chain put on my pendant after Valen fell off twice Blush

  • I found my bracelet!! I am so relieved. I honestly  thought it had gone forever until a student I work with found it. It must have fell into a bag in the cupboard when I moved it. The students happened to tip the contents out and there it was!

Thank you for all your kind messages x

  • That is wonderful news. I am so pleased for you.

  • I am so glad that you found your bracelet. It’s strange how we place much more importance on items when we have lost our loved ones. X

  • My little loveheart with some of Jay's ashes in it fell off again and this time the catch won't screw back on think all the threads have worn down so not catching. My sister has bought me a new one though similar to it but this one you just thread through the chain so less chance of this one falling off. So i've managed to fill it with some more of Jay's ashes and a little screw nut at the side holds them in so hopefully this one will stay put a bit better.
