Feeling quite pleased with myself now . A few weeks back I signed up to become a volunteer for MacMillan having seen it on this site and today completed my first task written 10 thank you cards as per script that was sent. Didn’t take long but I have plenty of time on my hands having been signed off work for 5 days after a recent procedure.
That was after a troublesome morning I had to get to doctors for an appointment my first time there since my husband passed, had to do the short walk as unable to drive for 5 days too. Held it together in the waiting room quite well then doc saw me and said how sorry he was to hear about my husband (he was the last one to see him at the surgery) and i was with him then I just started crying again. Doctor said kind words asked if i have support and printed out a poem said read that when you get home.
Not feeling so good though now I am going to bed for the afternoon I was told to rest after my biopsy so don’t feel guilty about that today I will try a little walk again tomorrow but really again all I want is what we all want our old lives back and things as they were.
I was in some discomfort yesterday afternoon evening and even said to my husband I might be seeing you sooner than you think awful stomach pains no one to be with me no one to help me guide me I woke up feeling better though.
