Tonight, 21st, the longest day, The St Elizabeth Hospice and other local businesses are holding their annual Suffolk Remembers event.
I’ve seen it in past years and thought “How lovely”.
Now, my beautiful Valen will be a part of it.
5000 tealights are lit to spell out SUFFOLK REMEMBERS and displayed for the next 5 days on our seafront gardens.
Theres some poetry and music.
Every candle will have the name of someone who is being missed by their loved ones.
I know it, and I, will be highly emotional. My dear sister is coming with me and staying the night with me.
Even though my darling Valen will be the name on the candle I will also be thinking of all our loves who have been so cruelly taken from our sides.
I may not remember all their names, but I remember yours.
That sounds creepy and threatening
