Hello everyone, I haven't posted much recently , but wanted to reach out today to see if anyone could help ? For the last few months I have been thinking I want to go to Scotland. My home town is Glasgow and where I met my Barry in 1986. We came to France in 2000 , and we had a busy life here. I went back many times for work and see family, but I now haven't been back for 15 years. A long time , and a lot has happened. Barry died in May 2022, and it has been a roller coaster of things and finding me again . Throughout, my little cat Missy has been my loyal friend , helping each other through the rough patches. However , this may change, because I thought that Barry's photos should Go Home, and I want to find a permanent home for some of them. He was a photographer/journalist and travelled throughout the world. I am struggling to find a cattery here or would she be better at home with neighbours calling every day ? I can't seem to make a decision, which is bothering me . Before, it wouldn't have bothered me , but now everything seems to take on a major significance. A lack of confidence in me perhaps , and also asking for my help was never my forte. any thoughts please ? Thank you .
Hope you have a good Sunday , wherever , whatever you are doing. Hugs .
.
Hi Fifinet, that sounds like a really nice thing to do in visiting Glasgow and finding a place for some of Barry’s photos. In terms of making a decision on how best to cater for Missy and helping, I guess I’d look at it in two parts. With leaving her at home with neighbours looking out for her, I’d be gauging it on how self much of an outdoor cat she is and how much you trust your neighbours. When it comes to finding a cattery, I’ve just done a google search and can see catterys in France with English wording in their information. As I don’t know expect location I can’t search for a local one to you but I’d be happy to draft an email that you could edit and send to them to see if they could recommend one in your area or you could speak to one of these English speaking catterys on the phone as numbers are available if you felt up to doing that. More than happy to help whilst keeping your privacy, private as it were. Apologies for the long message, I hope some of it makes sense.
Hello and thank you for replying!
Been speaking to neighbours that I do trust and we will see.
It is the first big thing I have done in three years since Barry died.
Hugs and thanks again. Hope you are ok.
