Today I went to pick up some paper work called últimas voluntades, means last wishes, sort of probate process. The office was in the neighbourhood of Barcelona where I was working in 1989. I met up with an old Irish friend who lives in that area from then.
She's lucky,, together with her Spanish husband since 1987.
Me. My husband died on Oct 3rd. 2022.
I live in a lovely coastal village but today retraced some steps, including when I arrived in Barcelona in 1988, leaving for adventure from Clapham Junction one early morning in September.
Had a counselling session at work last month , she said I need to reconnect with my former self before meeting my husband, but at same time think he is always with me and part of me
Today I stood n front of a place I worked in 1988!!

Childhood in Midlands, education in Oxford and Guildford, work in London, then from 1988 in Barcelona. Kids are grown up, but have a job in a multinational so keep myself active but have guilt it was too active when my husband was ill but I was always at home with him
