I think I am about to lose my mom. She has stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and has deteriorated so quickly. She is now bed ridden and needs full time care. If anyone has anything to share if you could have your loved one back for a day what you wish you could do, whether that is practical things, technology things, or anything else, things you wish you had got them to do before they went.
I lost my dad this evening. He had a short illness and only diagnosed less than 4 weeks ago. I have made peace with the fact I told my dad everything I wanted him to know. I told him how much I love him and we spoke at his bed side about all the funny memories we have had over the years. I took photographs of our hands together. We pigged out on his favourite sweets. I asked him what his favourite things were, we listened to his favourite music on my phone. In the end the only thing I wish for was more videos of him, I’m going to miss his voice so much.
take care xx
