  • Hi Shinton1

Thank you for contacting us. My name is Joanne and I’m one of the Cancer Information Nurses here at Macmillan.

I can see that you’ve joined some of our online forums including our pancreatic cancer forum. I hope that you are finding them useful.

I’m sorry to hear that your husband has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is awaiting an appointment for further tests.

Shinton, as nurses on the support line, we don’t have access to individual healthcare records so would always advise you to seek medical help for any new or worsening symptoms.

The changes to your husband’s symptoms, including increased jaundice and changes to his stools, need to be assessed as they can indicate blockages in his pancreatic duct or other organs.

As you have been advised to attend A&E with any worsening symptoms, this is the advice we would ask you to follow now.

Once he has had his symptoms assessed please do reach out to us again for any further advice and support and we will be more than happy to help.
