Hello,
My daughter - in- law has just been diagnosed with Primary Bowel Cancer which has metastisised to her liver and peritoneum. Although she is English she is currently living in New Zealand.
Her family is in the UK and she would like to fly home to the UK. Could she still be referred to a specialist hospital in the UK. She is 46yrs

I’m sorry to hear that your daughter in law has been diagnosed with bowel cancer It must be so difficult for you as a family when your loved one is a distance away. You may find some extra support from our online forums or from this information about supporting someone with cancer.
The rules around accessing NHS care are quite complex and there may be variations depending on which country of the UK you reside in:
Using the NHS when you return to live in the UK
Cancer Research UK has a summary of information regarding entitlement to NHS Cancer Treatment for overseas visitors
Some hospitals will have an overseas visitors team and you could contact them via the hospital switchboard.
If your daughter in law needed to consider private healthcare Private Healthcare Information Network will help to locate services locally to her.
