Hair today, gone tomorrow?

Less than one minute read time.

Well having checked my hair from all angles by using 2 mirrors, I can see that it is so patchy it's going to have to go!

I am wearing a ''buff'' that Pedro donated at the mo, and going out for lunch with mum and Bry in a bit so may try my jersey hat too ... and then borrow some clippers and have to go for it ... oh blimey, kinda looking forward to just getting rid of it and kinda wondering how weird it will be!!

Thankfully temperature is behaving, and had a lovely surprise this morning when Kerry was free and popped over with a bun for a catch-up :)

See what the lady from Usk House has to say later re: which therapies I can have! :)

I don't know if I'm weird, or what (well, actually, I do know), but I'm really not that fussed at the prospect of hair loss. Maybe because my hair's short anyway, and not by any means my crowning glory. Better clipped than patchy, I reckon. If it happens, I might try one of those turban thingies. On the other hand (or head), I might just walk around bald and dare anyone not to like it.

My sister-in-law did have some trouble with being challenged in ladies' loos, but she's quite tall and very slim. I am short and fatsome, and don't anticipate any such problem!

Anyway: hope you end up with something you can bear. And it won't be forever.

    Mmmmm. Buns.

Oh dear, at least you tried going short first. So far mine is still just thin, but like Hilary, I'm not that bothered about it, other than I'd be worried my head would be cold! Having gone from quite long to very short when it started to fall out, I noticed a definite drop in temperature and I'm already looking for solutions to that, but I'm not a hat person. I hope you find some headgear you can live with, to me the choices available don't look that great, they either say 'cancer patient' or eccentric! However, at least if you go for 'cancer patient' you get to play the cancer card, which as we know, comes with benefits!

Seriously, I hope you don't feel too bothered by it and can find something suitable for colder days.

    Take care, Ann x

A friend of mine has just ordered a Raquel Welch style wig, she is 61 and just started her first chemo cycle. I did tell her that I thought the Sigourney Weaver look would suit her (Alien 3?) but I got a slap for suggesting that!

Good luck with whatever you go for, being a bloke I can't help that much, other than say I am sure you will still look a million dollars.

    Hi Cariad,

Go bald and brazen it out! I have, and I didn't need chemo or radio to help me lose it.

I'm sure you'll look stunning without your hair and even more stunning when it grows back.

Good luck with the hairstyle and the traetment.
