I had 15 sessions of radio therapy (mon-Fri for 3 weeks) and then i got to ring the bell at the end! which was actually a really nice feeling and made at least some of it worth it
I didn't find radio too bad really i did start to get tired by the end of week three but i manage to drive myself in the first two weeks fine and it really only does take 10minutes, the first ones a bit scary just because the machine is moving around you but you get used to it. thankfully i didn't have to hold my breath, i did try it on my pre-radio assessment but i wasn't able to hold still enough but my area wasn't too close to my heart so it was fine, although i did still try to hold it a bit when actually getting radio. the area got red and a bit tender but i got some steroid cream and that sorted it.
The worst part i have found is actually a couple months after, i think it stops/reverses the healing from surgery so my breast and the scar tissue is still very tender but I'm just going to keep massaging it with E45 and doing the exercises (although i don't think i need to do them now as i have full range of motion) and hopefully the tenderness will ease off
