We have managed a short break (two nights away) in Exmouth. My husband has such strong happy childhood memorries of this area, It was one of the first places we ever visited after our marrage. He took such delight taking me to all his favorite places and telling stories about them.
Its one of the places I was concidering for his Ashes but simce then we have agreed and sorted out a burial plot. What I had not expected was all the memories of us as a young couple with our children to intrude. Then of coarse followed the deep sadness and regreat of not being able to share these happy haunts with our grandchildren.
Glad we made the effort no matter how hard I found it.
Its hard to say how my Hubs enjoyed it or other as he does not talk to me much, keeps everything to himself. This makes me missreble .....but parr for the coasre in our realationship.
