... the sarcoma in my right buttock was removed on 20th Jan - went in on the Weds came out on the Friday. All went well - I came home with 'a drain' and am going back this Thursday to have the'drain', the clips and the dressing removed - looking forward to that - hopefully I will be more comfortable.
I had to have 2 teeth out last week - if it's not one end it's the other !!!!!!!

..... went up to RM last week for CT, MRI, Pre-op Assessment, appt. with Oncologist and Surgeon - everything went as planned until we saw the Onc - we thought she was just going to tell us how the 25 sessions of radiotherapy had affected 'BETTY' but instead we heard 'I am very sorry I have bad news for you - the cancer has escaped and you have 'nodules' in your lungs and will need 'chemo' !!!!! mmmmm yes a bit of a surprise…
........ after 25 'radio' sessions and 5 weeks in London - I'm home and it is heaven - my own bed mmmm - my own toilet - not having to lock the door !!!!.
Recovery and rest now - I think Christmas is soon !!!!!! - better start getting a bit organised
...... only 3 to go!!!!!!!! Am so looking forward to Friday - that's the day we can go home - have been staying in London for the 5 week duration of my 'radio' - so looking forward to our own bed, our own toilet ohhh just being HOME
Have had enough of this 'radio' lark as well for now - going 'home' to recover then back to the RM early January for Pre Op Assessment then surgery on the 20th - but for now am…
Today I happened to see a Specialist nurse that I saw on my first appointment to the Consultant on 23rd October - she said 'hi how are you?' - I said 'fine' - she said 'no you are not' - so I told her how I really was !!!!! - she upped my morphine there and then and told me what to take and when to take it on 'session' days- it was such a relief to talk to her and for her to recognise the fact that I was far from OK shows…
