Ah...the saga of the Discharge letter finally ends . So........Jack the Ripper ( the Macmillan nurse tells a cancer patient ) to chase up the letter herself . The hospital sent the letter to the cancer patient's GP direct without telling the cancer patient. The cancer patient calls the hospital and speaks to the ONLY senior nursing person I had ANY confidence in ( I'll call her KIP.......Keeping It Real ) , who stated that one had been done but she didn't know what happened to it...but she would send one herself directly to the cancer patient . As this one arrived , the cancer patient received a phone call from her GP surgery to say that they received a discharge letter directly from the hospital . WHAT AN EFFING JOKE . The Macmillan nurse is a disgrace in letting her cancer patient waste time chasing non-existent paperwork.
