First nurse enters cubical to take blood . Hopeless and rough and very unfriendly . A doctor enters and starts pressing down on S's tummy whilst asking again what made her come to hospital . Sent to x-ray and then sent back without x-rays taken due to doctors not telling the x-ray dept . that S. was being sent to them . Yet another doctor and another telling of wy syl is in the hospital. Now yet another consultant ......who announces that S's kidneys were failing and shutting down and that she'll have to have dialysis since her readings were 600 when they should be 100 . It was said so 'matter of fact'. All this in a curtain covered cubical in A&E. Then several hours go by , more blood taken for testing , more blood pressure readings & now told that S. may only need blood-cleaning only. The whole time in A&E was a blur and S. was finally given a bed on a ward at 21.40 after being in the hospital since noon. , or rather in a separate room off the main ward . It was quiet except for the beeping of all the machines attatched to S. . I slept in a high backed chair next to her bed until 04.30 when i went down to the public toilets to try and freshen up . A very long day , a very worrying day , and the end of day 1 of the nightmare.
