Arrived and saw an empty bed and all of S's belongings packed up . WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO THINK ? AND DON'T TELL ME FAMILY HAVEN'T JUST ARRIVED AND WALKED IN ON A DEATH SCENE.....I'VE BEEN TOLD BY TWO FRIENDS THAT HAPPENED TO THEM .
S came onto the ward and said that she was being discharged today . All the discharge paperwork went through without a problem ,............unlike the first hospital ( fecking idiots ).........and that it was going to be around midday. OK ..in wheelchair , HCA pushing and me carrying luggage.A short-notice call to our chauffeur , BIG R , and he was on his way .
Hmmmmmmm....I later found out , when S's brother and his wife visited S at home , that the hospital wanted to keep S in for another day but she was certain that she wanted to go home . Manuel the Mushroom again !!
BIG R and S got very teary when he arrived to take us home .
I was going to be around for two and a half weeks.......the hospital wanted a full-time carer for S for at least two weeks .
I just kept on thinking that it wasn't over yet and the cancer was still there .
