Thurs 2/6.
The morning bought us the consultant that had told the Obstetrics and Gynecology doctor to come and chat to S. . He wasn't happy that they didn't pitch up and he went and chased them up to come and see her today .
MISSILE ALERT...............
Two Spanish doctors turned up , male and female . Came into the room , declined the chair next to S. , stood at the end of the bed , the male talking and shuffling his papers , the female saying nothing except making notes ofwhy S. had been admitted to hospital . They took down the names of the meds she had been issued by her GPs ........and then , quite matter-of-factly said that it looked liked S. had cancer of the ovaries............and just walked out of the room . We were so distraught .....we cried and cried and cried ........and NO ONE , NO ONE AT ALL then entered the room to tell us waht was going to happen now . No priest , no counsellor , no specialist cancer nurse ............not even a fucking giraffe came in to see us . I left the building in tears to make a phone call to tell our friend what was happening . I went back to S. and we just stayed in that room , both of us not saying anything .
