It all now seems to be happening so quickly.
I finally had my appointment with the oncologist yesterday and he explained each step, what I'd be given, how long each cycle would be, the possible side effects etc.
I have my pre chemotherapy assessment next Wednesday and if my blood tests are ok then I'm booked in for my first chemo session on Friday 2nd June.
So much more settled in my mind now I've got a timetable but now feeling very real.
I'm due to have 4 cycles over 3 months of Oxaliplatin and Capecitabine (Xelox). I've read about the side effects and it would be great to know how other people have got on. I know we're all different but any tips on counteracting side effects will be much appreciated.
One step at a time.
Thanks for listening
