Not much happening health wise but I’d thought I’d just write a few lines about what I’ve been up to.
Firstly I celebrated Beryl’s first birthday in February with a curry and a pub crawl with some ex-colleagues from the RNLI in Poole. A great weekend but totally exhausted.
And Beryl’s had another holiday. This time we went to Fuerteventura for a week. Absolute bliss. Left Stansted in the snow and landed in a comfortable 20c. I even managed to get sunburnt in mid-February. I did nothing except lay in the sun and read.
Bit of a shock getting back to home. Rain, frost and then the snow! And back to work. I shouldn’t grumble I enjoy my job and only work 4 days a week.
The recent snow has delayed working on the allotment but itching to get things planted and sown.
So I’m still getting out and about. I’m meeting up with some old school mates later this month for an evening of talking absolute b*ll*cks and laughing til I have an accident!
On a sadder note my Mum has been diagnosed with Alzheimers. Still mild but we’ve been noticing changes in her this past year. I feel I’ve been too wrapped up in my own problems to notice but my brother, who lives near her certainly has. She’s happy and comfortable but it’s difficult knowing what to do for the best. Time, as always, will tell.
I’ve still got my aches and pains but I’ll live with them. Scans on the horizon in May. They’ll soon come round. I can’t believe it’s March already. Seems only days ago it was Christmas.
Happy Easter!
