Wigs and toupees

Starting chemo in 10 days and told will lose hair within 2 weeks, I live in West Sussex and need to know if anyone has found or used a good place to get a wig/ toupee, I am a male and have full head of hair so will be devistated to lose it, anybody please advise

  • My hosptal arranged an appointment with their Hair Loss Clinic and provided me with a lovely wig and hat.   It was not free but probably subsidized by the NHS.   I know they also dealt with men's hair loss. The gave me loads of hints as well as to how to wear, clean etc.   Maybe have a word with your oncology team - I had to ask for a referral.
