I didn’t expect that!
Been in hospital nearly 5 weeks following the bowel pain I had turn into a perforated bowel, 4 operations to control, leaving me with a delightful vertical scar of about 6 inches either side of navel.
Apparently I hallucinated through the 11 days in ICU. And bored and dehydrated through the remainder of hospital - many days and nights on saline drips.
Released yesterday with quantities of drugs: loperamide (control stoma output) codiene, dioralyte, rivarixiban (small blood clot in calf) etc
Surprisingly I am totally mobile if weak(progressed zimmer and sticks in hospital) although tired after the demands of hospital such as 05.30 wake up and mad people threatening fire extinguisher at night, constant noise and ‘observations’ all hours
Stoma where they had to deal with perforated ileum is a beggar to control and change - very loose hence the loperamide plus marshmallows!!
Only way is up! Any hints on stoma control welcome
