Good afternoon. Ten days ago I had a TURBT under a general. to remove a cancer that the scans and cystoscopy had identified. I had a catheter for five days, during which regular but small drops of blood dripped from the end of what was a very tender penis tip. I’ve taken plenty of clear fluid, but my bladder feels like it’s only partially emptying, which tends to mean I’m having to go little and often. As a result my penis tip and what feels like the first part of my urethra are extremely sore and weeping some blood. My GP has prescribed a course of antibiotics, to ward off the chance of an infection occurring and a cream for the soreness, which has had little effect so far. Last night I was up six times to pass urine, which seems to have had the effect of making the small bleed even worse. Please can anybody who have had a similar experience provide any advice. Fingers crossed. Bazza47.
