Not even half way through 4th chemo cycle when letter drops on the mat for first consult oncology appointment for the chemoradiotherapy at Addenbrookes. This Friday! Short notice for work again. He can go as appointment from his job. Wonder if I can get a half day hol. I've not been keeping count of mine and haven't even been to all appointments. Find out tomorrow I guess. Need to be at some of these for when he has the information tune out phase.
Hubby had been hoping for a couple of days off before starting again. We know that the treatment won't start straight away but he is seeing it as a step closer to the knife. I can understand that.
The wall planner is filling up. Have 27 green stickers for the local hospital appointments to date. Going orange for Addenbrookes. Should turn up in the right place then. Here's hoping.
As an aside, this round of chemo has brought the vaseline/earwax dimension to food. First couple of days had the twanging saliva gland but has settled to the waxy feel. Still ok with regular toothpaste which is a plus though Difflam in cabinet on standby.
Anyway, must go - got sneezing fit happening. Ugh.
