Moved

1 minute read time.

Last July me and mine moved from the home I'd been at for 16 years to a pretty little 'forever' home just out of town. The home had it all . . the only obvious drawback in these environmental times being storage heating and an open fire as opposed to nice clean controlable (2 ll's?)gas.

Our 2 year plan was to save and get central heating. In under 6 months cancer got us.

Not had chance to 'integrate' .

Husband is half way through 4th chemo of oxaliplatin and capec. Today we went to addenbrookes for terse 20 min appointment for tattoo on his butt. Letter told us 1 to 2 hours so we expected info. Just gave up leave for this. Confused but hoping to get some answers from local oncology doc on 29th. Dates and times for rt were already printed. So much for advice letter suggesting times were conducive to maintaining employment. He's up at half five in the morning and won't be getting home till half six/seven if radio is on time. No wonder tiredness is an issue. At what point do you eat and take the Capec?

And just because he can . . . .  a back garden neighbour has complained 2nd time about us lighting fire. After 1st we got chimney swept and put whirligig thing on chimney pot to try help. Tonight he actually asked if we could get coalman to take back coal and swap for smokeless. This is a village with no smoke restrictions. But apparently is ok to have heat at xmas.

Husband angry, me teary.

Might make time to visit church. Might be a way to integrate with folk who's heads aren't up their own colorectal departments.

Friends came by this evening. He of the couple has diverticulitis so a good opportunity to share bum jokes.

Late night. One more tin then time to try sleep. Wonky day. Grrrrr. Better now. Well, it will be.

If anybody is daft enough to be here then sweet dreams and a fresh head for tomorrow.

:-)
