So I went to get blood taken yesterday at doc's and when I got home I had a phone call from the hospital wanting me to go in next thursday for my consultants appointment. Is it just me or is it odd that the hossy rang me ?? don't they just send out letters?

I found a lump on my neck on tuesday. Went to doc on thursday and after exam he said 'suspected cancer'. Right to my face, no faffing about. Was shocked to say the least.
Its just a waiting game now, have to go for blood tests on tues and he's sent a letter to ENT at local hospital. He said urgent but in reality it could be a couple of weeks.
My husband refuses to talk about it till he knows for certain…
