Getting tetchy!

1 minute read time.

I came back home on Tuesday evening after seeing mum was settled on the ward. Andy was leaving for Canada on Wednesday morning so I wanted to see him.

We opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate the success of the surgery and had a takeaway!

Took Andy to the train station on Wednesday morning and felt very emotional. I think that the tiredness is really catching up with me now. I went home and spent the day sorting the office out - lots of backlog.

Phoned the hospital and was told she was in good spirits, and had been out of bed which is brilliant.

Colin went to see her later in the day and said she looked even better than on Tuesday, and was getting tetchy because of the assisted loo visits! She's firmly got her fighting head on and probably just annoyed that she can't get about on her own without feeling dizzy.

There's a bit of lack of vision in the left eye and some shaking in the left hand, but nothing anyone is too worried about, so hopefully not too serious. It could be that some of the inflammation has come back because of the surgery so it will hopefully settle down soon.

Heading back up at the weekend, but so pleased and relieved that she's on track. Went to bed at 9pm because I was so tired and had the best night's sleep for a long time!
