Hello my friends, I've been wondering, since I went into remission, whether it is appropriate for me to be in the chat rooms any more.
The rooms are for patients and carers and although I have been both over the past few years, I am not any more.
I suppose I should "get on with life now" which is exactly what my doctors have been telling me.

I know what you mean, but as you have a common male cancer I think you can be of help with someone else journey. I am cancer free and my oncoman last week more or less told me its gone and that is that and he would not expect this to return. I am cured of the beast. I do not go into chat anymore as mine was a rare cancer and I therefore cannot really help others. I do however watch out for anyone occasionally who is diagnosed with s similar cancer, but too date I have only found 1 other in the room. I collect my emails from here too. Good luck with getting on with your life. I am doing exactly that too and isn't it just FABULOUS?
Trev, I love speaking with you but as everone else has said, the decision is totally yours (of course). No-one is excluded from this site and if it were a choice between me an you leaving I would say it should be me as I have never had cancer and hopefully never will but you have had first hand experience.
