info everyone should know

1 minute read time.

hi everyone not been on here for a while but keep a check in via emails from groups

just thought id share some important news that anyone with cancer who has mortgage/loan critical illness cover should know

i was diagnosed with stage 1a cancer in 2010 after an operation - it hadnt spread so i did not need any treatment just regular 6 monthly checkups

in my eyes i didnt have cancer - no chemo oranything  ??? im clear so it never crossed my mind about my critical illness cover !!

only when i applied for a loan for home improvements i was refused insurance cover with my insurance company

my mortgage advisor told me to make a claim bizarrely she had been in the same situation cancer cells found but no treatment needed so like me thought i dont have cancer and didnt think of claiming till her mother told her and she got paid out in full

i put in a claim not wanting to get my hopes up took months and to be honest id forgot about it only to receive a letter stating they were paying out the full amount of critical illness cover and refunding all my insurance payments from when i was diagnosed!!

i couldnt believe it if i hadnt gone to apply for that loan and asked to increase my life cover id never have known and would still be paying my mortgage now !!

Oh and my wonderful mortgage advisor told me to claim my PPI back even though they had paid out sickness cover for a year plus my critical illness payment

i did it and lo and behold they agreed i had been mis sold cover and reimbursed all my insurance payments plus interest !!

SO PLEASE everyone check your policies if myself and my lovely friend didnt know to claim on our critical illness cover because we hadnt had any cancer treatment how many others are out there that have done the same

please spread the word x

sending love n hugs to you all xx
