    Usual routine today. Hickman gave up the blood without a fight this morning so that was a good start. Neutrophils are zero so today or tomorrow will be the bottom out days before things start to rise. Platelets down to 40 which means the daily Clexane injections (blood thinner) have been stopped so that’s another little bonus. Feel good today. Spent a nice afternoon digging out you tube stuff to pass on to the boys…

    All too soon it was back in for the 3rd and final dose of IVE which means being hooked up to a drip from Wednesday to Sunday. Just a case of sitting it out really - no sickness a bit of nausea at first. It’s just a slog really because they have to test your urine for blood all the time and you’re woken up for observations and changing bags over during the night.     So been hooked up for 2nd round of IVE (Tuesday til Sunday am) - straightforward really - sick once on the last day but shattered from having to get up every couple of hours to give urine sample; after the PE scare, they kept up with a lower dose blood thinner 'just in case'; let me out on sunday afternoon and am going back in an hour.
