Haven't blogged in a while as had been making slow but steady progress on the road to recovery. Eating normal food and building strength back up. Until last week... Woke up on Wed morning with a raging sore throat, and unable to swallow anything without gagging (even sips of water). Went to docs who referred me to hospital. Quick check up from specialist (camera up nose always brings tears to the eyes!) could see nothing obvious so a short course of antibiotics was all that was offered. Have struggled over weekend and now have an appointment down in Southampton hospital to get a handle on pain relief and get back on the recovery road. Hopefully better news on my next blog...
