Just back from latest monthly check up and after a good chat now need to go for another ultrasound precautionary check for a lump in my neck. I am hoping that it is just scar tissue from my operation but naturally am worried it could be something more sinister. Just at the time when I was starting to see some improvements, eating more, off pain relief and anti sickness meds. The consultant didn't seem too alarmed so I hope for the best... Will keep you posted.

Hello Dave ... just to say don't hit the panic button. Two years after my treatments I had to have two biopsies on my tongue as it wasn't healing from the radiotherapy burns / damage ... even though my Consultant said he wasn't worried. Results came back as mucositis ulceration due to the radiation - just as he suspected ! Oh, and I also have a small lump on my neck dissection line ... seems it's scar tissue or something and nothing to worry about.
