Happy Birthday Me! Not.

Less than one minute read time.

In January I had my sixtyfirst birthday.  In that week I was recalled for review following my mammogram in December.  Shocked and scared to find that the discrepancy on the mammogram was in fact invasive ductal cancer. My daughter decided I should give it a name so after a few suggestions we settled on Donald as it was ducktal! Like the rest of us here it's been a steep learning curve with added roller coaster.

Today was my MRI and I'm expecting the results next week. I think it will be good to have a plan and more information about Donald.  Hopefully he won't be here for long.Duck

I was diagnosed with this at 67, what a blow!!  Excellent surgeon and nurses were amazing, cannot find fault with any of them at all. Good luck with everything. Keep your daughter up to date, they are a God send, although they are younger they are full of common sense when your brain seems to have been fried.  xx
