i should be miss marple

1 minute read time.

well i feel like i've had to do a lot of detective work , trying to figure out whether the big c has come back ! 8 weeks ago i had a vlear mri and a clear pet scan ( yipee) !!!and put into total remission  . about 2 weeks ago i started feeling crappy again , alot more pain and pain when i'm sitting and going to the loo , also been getting a yellowy discharge which is quite unusual . so  i spoke to the gyne nurse who has brought forward my 12 week check to next week with an mri for good measure . i also payed a visit to my gp who did a wee sample ( all clear on the tester stick ) but she sent it off anyway and she also did bloods and took a swab. the gp also did an internal exam which showed no lumps or bumps . since then i've had a call from the surgury to repeat the urine ( done) and a call today to  say that my white blood count is low so i have to repeat the bloods too. now i'm thinking if the bloods are low then thats a good thing because maybe my body is fighting an infection which ok with me as long as its not fighting cancer ! also i'm thinking if the cancer was back in the vaginal ault then the gp would have felt a lump or bump ! but its all a worry because something is wrong and for the past 2 years when something has been wrong its been cancer :(

i'm also thinking that if i had a pet scan 8 weeks ago wouldn't that show if anything sinister was about to attack ?i thought thats what pet scans are for to give us fair warning ?..had a really bad day today ..gone into mental shut down ..everyones starting to panic again so that makes me panic ..

  • Aw Sammieo, you're bound to worry. You have really had a hard time and it is small wonder you always think the worst. I would be reassured that the medics are taking your concerns seriously.

All the best wishes in the world.

Hi sammieo, sorry you're going through all this worry again.  We can all relate to that.

I hope it turns out to be something simple like a urine infection or some such.

Let us know how it goes for you will you.

    Take care, Christine xx

    Hello sammieo

this is just a thought but a friend of mine suffers from Interstitial cystitis and it never shows as an infection in her urine in fact she was told its hard for Drs to detect it but is causes very similar symptoms to any bladder infection.Have a google and see what you think.

Thinking of you sammie and wishing you well

    love scarlet xxx
