just to reasure any "young" cancer patient that there is a huge light at the end of the tunnel!! my appearance has totally changed after a mastectomy & chemo ( long brown hair all gone!!) i now am waiting for reconstruction to level everything out and have a fond affilliation with my chicken fillet ( does the job!! ) i refused to wear a wig and after having my head completely shaved in march i am now sporting a chic pixie crop ( salt & pepper), grey & white mix but rather fetching or so i am told! yes i miss the old me but she's not coming back, the new me is a survivor and has so much to live for!! i feel thankful for life itself and give myself a good slap when the misery monsters take over!! after all i am 43 and so in the prime of life!! xxxxxxx
