forgotten after chemo!!

can't help feeeling a little abandoned after chemo!! finished june 10th and had to chase hospital twice for follow up!! is it me??

    No love it isn't you, I had to do the same thing, infact I constantly have had to growl at my medical team, especially my onc. I wish you well getting your follow up. Take care..love Carol x

    Think these days we have to chase practically everything.  Seriously believe it is policy now to "forget" coping to cut numbers down.  They forgot my op for 4 months until I reminded them.

    hiya, no its not just you, its alot of people. including myself. and i almost feel a pain to ring them up asking them about appointments now. so i dont bother ringing them anymore i just sit and wait.. x

    I must confess, my team seem quite good at this.  You make your next appointment BEFORE you leave.  Works well, unless you are at the local hospital and they don't have access to the main cancer unit computer system, and therefore can double book.  The main hospital then have to rearrange, but they do seem to be organized at it.

    At least you know where you stand...

    Yes mine was the same I made my next one before I left each time.

    It wasn't the case 8 years ago my husband waited 3 months for his first biopsy result and only then did we get an appointment after I badgered them.

    In my case my onc would phone me with my results at home then follow it up with a letter.

    All areas are different.
