What is the normal recovery time?

Hi Guys, I had full mastectomy, ld flap & full node (35) removal 4 weeks ago today to the date! Can anyone let me know how long the recovery is for the horrible tigtness in back & weird sensations under arm coming around to the chest. I can cope with pain but this seems horrendous at times. Im also really paranoid about the "cording"& "lymphodema". I am doing the exercises daily but am finding it very difficult to raise my arm above my head... HELP !!! Please, any comments will be most welcomed.. ;) Pat. G xx

i had all the same done in 1994 and then a repair on my ld flap and i still dont have full movement of my arm and them numbness too is still there. but if your young enough you should be ok as i had further surgery to the same side for an eptopic breast lump that had trapped the nerves too

Hi ukdreamer55, thanks for your reply. You had a tough ole time ! Hope you are okay now... Its not knowing what kind of pain your suppossed to feel that frightens me. You feel the pain & wonder.. Is that normal ? Is it even possible to have pain that bad be normal ??? The shooting pains are horrendous today - need to get a pill to knock me out for sleep !!
