On the Up

Less than one minute read time.
Well, after a dreadful few days my breathing has settled and I am not panting or coughing as much. This is positive ~ however, I seem to be in a pattern where I get noticably better for a short while before the symptoms return with a vengence. Not to worry. Today I will (gently) enjoy myself and knit, make jewellery and maybe even do some washing! *lol* Life continues whether you are well enough to enjoy it or not . . . .

  • Hi Ebren,

Glad you are feeling better.  Are the docs going to give you any drugs to help with the cough? I know you've mentioned not wanting to take steroids, but there are different types of steroids. My daughter was taking steroids for Crohn's disease a few years ago and the side-effects were nasty - moon face, weight gain and mood swings off the scale. However, she is currently having another attack of Crohn's and the steroids she's now taking are only having a positive effect.  Worth asking the doc?

    Happy New Year,

Thanks for taking the time to comment on my blog Kate.  :)

No, I'm not on anything ~ the docs merely sent me home to sit it out.  I have another round of lung function tests later on in the month.  We shall see what comes up after they are analysed.

Sorry you have been having a rough time.  The jewellery and knitting I can see as relaxing - but the washing!!  I hope the breathlessness, panting and coughing stay away.

    Sending you positive thoughts
