Brilliant news! Dad had appointment with consultant today - although during surgery the lymph nodes looked cancerous, it turns out they were all fine! Cancer was just confined to bladder and prostate. I could have cried. This is the best news we could have hoped for. Dad will still have to have a further operation to remove his urethra. During the main surgery they decided against removing the urethra, as the lymph nodes looked so bad the surgeon thought the cancer had already spread.
Mum had her colonoscopy last week and all clear!
I'm not used to all this good news. I finally feel I can relax and even make plans for Christmas. Next instalment probably January when Dad will have his next op.
Thank you for reading and best wishes to everyone affected by this horrible disease.
xx
