The story so far ...

Less than one minute read time.

Hi there everyone, been reading everyone else's blogs for a while now and have been laughing and crying along with all of you.  You are all so brave!

Have edited this blog down from yesterday - did get it out of my system, but felt I had given too much info!  LOL

So here is just the short version..... Mum had bowel cancer 2 years ago.  Had tumour removed and has been fine up until last routine scan which showed a shadow on her ovary, near to the part of the bowel where the cancer was.  She will see consultant on Friday, but at the moment have been told it is "borderline".

Dad was diagnosed with bladder cancer, the same time as mum.  Has had BCG treatment, cystoscopies then chemo.  Cancer then spread to prostate and lymph nodes.  He is just recovering now from radical cystectomy.  Lymph nodes didn't look good.  He will need more chemo.

Will blog again on Friday, hopefully with results.

Hi Princess, phwww just getting my breath back, what a rollercoaster ride

its been for you all. The waiting about

for appointments and test is horendence

at times, and all you can think about is

if the cancer is spreading. I hope your

dad is on the mend, and i think when thy

say border line it means the test wasn't

conclusive so thy may do the tests again.

Anyway i think you all deserve a medal,

if it had happend to me and my family

i think i would be in the Priory by now

    under sedation. lol

Sending love and hugs to your mum

and dad, and a special hug to you.

     Love Lucy Lee.

What can I say? I've been through the same op as your dad and also had the infection (as bad if not worse than the op itself!)

Sending love and hugs to you all esp your mum and dad

Thank you all for taking the time to read my mammoth blog and for your lovely comments (that goes to Maralyn as well, who I can't seem to reply to).  We have had plenty of good times between appointments and waiting for results (2008 was a pretty calm year!).  My mum and dad really are the best parents ever and I just wish it would all go away.  Fingers crossed and best wishes to you all.xx

Thought I posted on this blog yesterday - but I am no-where to be seen!!!  Sheesh another thing I'll have to blame on Buttercup!

I am sorry you have both parents fighting against cancer at the moment P and I add my best wishes for their treatment.
