Hi everyone - had a great afternoon and walked the 5k in 58 minutes which I am so pleased with. I am now going to enjoy a glass of wine with my friends & family before having a nice bath to soothe my aching legs!

Hi Angie Well done hun. What a hot day to do it on!!! Can't feel my legs but I am sure the stella will soon kick in. One of our ladies walked with a walking stick, so after completeing the course Sue, (a retired Tesco employee) and I went back for her. She was two thirds of the way round the 5K and very determined to finish. It was amazing and emotional. She was one hell of a lady and finished in 1 hour and 45 minutes. She was clapped all the way. It was truly the most inspirational moment of the day and what Race for Life is all about. People like that guarantee a cure for all of us in the future
