Part 2 of frustrating days....

Less than one minute read time.

Or should I say a frustrating week -

Today I got up to find that the food in the freezer was half de-frosted - probably because the plug was hanging half out of the socket because I must have caught it with the ironing board yesterday!

Then I turned on my mobile to receive a message from my mum that my 21yr old niece had been rushed into hospital last night with suspected appendicitis. My niece is graduating from York University next week & is supposed to be going on holiday to Turkey with her housemates next Friday. Being students they hadn't yet got their holiday insurance sorted. Yes - you're right - either she gets out of hospital, goes on holiday with no insurance & gets ill again in Turkey, or she doesn't go & loses the money she has paid!

The docs have been around this morning & the xrays were clear so she now has to have an ultrasound cos they don't think it's appendicitis anymore.

And it's not even 10am - the day has just started so what else can be in store!

Can't wait until this week is over! Have a good weekend everyone!

Sorry Marsha but we ate all the puds!!!! So you will have to fill up on wine & stella instead!

The good news is that Kate was discharged after xrays & an ultrasound. They couldn't find anything but believe it was a cyst on either her ovary or appendix that has burst. Nothing to see or do so sent home with painkillers. The holiday issue is turning into an arguement as she wants to go but her dad (and the rest of us) are against it - Turkey isn't the best place if you are taken ill & especially if she hasn't got the right insurance! The arguement continues when she comes home today!

I won't be involved tho as I have my first gig on the Yorkshire Air Ambulance stall at a local fair. Must go practice now -"GET YOUR HANDS IN YOUR POCKETS MISSUS OR ELSE!" Pretty good eh?

    Hi Angie,

Hope there's no part 3 coming up at any time and things are looking brighter for you.  Well done on the walk even if it wasn't blisters giving you the pain for your efforts.
